‘In My Shoes’ charity gala event

August 3, 2010

I have written a couple of posts about The Warwick Foundation, an Australian not-for-profit organisation that aims to support young people (aged 18-40) living with cancer.

The Foundation organises a number of events to fund their strategies and in 2010 these have included the Guinness World Record break attempt for the most people running in high heeled shoes and a luxurious Sex and the City 2 premiere screening.

The next event coming up is the 3rd Annual Gala Evening on Friday 8 October 2010.

The Gala will be held at Central Pier, Docklands and is fast shaping up as one of the most elegant and exciting events in Melbourne!

Alongside a silent auction and raffle, their famous celebrity shoe auction is returning! You could pick up a pair of shoes belonging to a cast member of Packed to the Rafters, footy stars Matthew Richardson, Brendan Fevola, Barry Hall or Brad Johnson, or even rock star Jimmy Barnes!

Attendees will enjoy a sumptuous 3 course dinner and dance the night away to popular Melbourne band Action Sam. Comedian and The Warwick Foundation ambassador Tom Gleeson will be the MC for the night.

You can register your interest in attending the Gala here.

You can follow The Warwick Foundation on Twitter or like their page on Facebook for more updates.
